Hi all.
First time selling here. I have a c.1995 Fries PL finder for sale. I'm the original owner, used the finder on spot work, but have had it stored for some years. It has also had some rental use via consignment but has been well cared for and is in very good condition. The only work done on it has been milling of the PL mount outer ring, as non-Arri PL mounts sometimes did not fit. Apparently this adjustment was commonly needed. The mount comes with its original handgrip, eyepiece, low-angle back, and three groundglasses. Also a Nikon mount (useful on scouts while the PL set is being prepped) and the original plastic case.
The GG installed now is S35/1.78, probably the most useful for today's work. The finder itself can be adjusted Full Aperture (ie S35) or Academy by simply taking the mount off and turning it 180. The other GGs are 1.85:1 and 'TV', both Academy.. You can apparently still get GGs through Shurco Tool outside LA.
I don't have photos stored offsite but leave me a message here and I can send them to you. The finder is also offered on the FB 'ForSaleCameraAssistantAKS' page. If not sold, I will probably be putting the finder up on eBay soon. New gear coming, old gear must go!
Asking $SOLD. Finder is in Chicago.
Sold on eBay, euro buyer, $1000, for anyone looking in the future.
