On the last 2 RED shoots ive done with my RED one Iv'e experienced an error where I get the POST notification come un in the monitor and the camera Freezes with no option other than rebooting to get on track again. Is this a fixable bug? Any ideas what might be going on? Both times I was set up for 2k SHOOTING 100fps. There is a chance but I can't be certain that I may have not hit the REC button to stop recording n error thinking I had on both occasions, However I turn away to talk the AC fiddle a bit and on both occasions have come back to a POST notification and a freeze...

I've had this problem on one shoot, shooting regular 24 ips, but with longer takes (this was a documentary) onto RED RAID disk. I switched disks, just because I didn't know what else to do, and didn't have any more problems on the day of the shoot. But I have no idea why this happened. What build were you on? I was on build 30.7 if I remember correctly.

This recently started happening on my RED, and I eventually found out it was a bad power supply board. I'd call RED support and see what they have to say about it, they are incredibly patient and helpful.

They fixed it. I did have to send it in. I don't know that your problem is the same, but I find RED support is much more helpful than any information you can get in the forum about these kinds of problems.

This happened to me recently as well. After reading numerous threads on the issue it appears that a quick fix/work around would be to disengage QT proxy recordings in camera. However, this is the first time I've heard of the bad power supply board. I may need to give RED Support a call as well.

Could be a few things, correct. Just let the guys in tech support help you out!

Same error on build 30.7 only on one 320GB red drive. I opened a tech support ticket.

I had it recently with qt proxies turned off. A new drive cable fixed it (for now). The footage was there in redcine although would not play on the camera. I can't wait to get rid of my red drive and use ssds, the stress is going to give me a heart attack.
