Hi
I wanted to let people here know that the my tools for RED have been updated.
Now you can
* consolidate the r3ds used in an FCP timeline (so as to keep/backup only the used media)
* send to redcine an FCP timeline, render, and go back in Final Cut Pro
* conform to Red quicktimes an FCP timeline editted from transcoded Red rushs : prepare for online output or color-grading
* repair the r3d bug in Color
all the tools are free, and come with a demonstration video. You can use learn more about them here : www.michaelcinquin.com/tools/red
How do they compare with
* Crimson Workflow ?
they are free. 'Send to Redcine' is not as powerful as Crimson Workflow, but it does do the round-tripping work
* ClipFinder ?
The conform tool and the tool to repair the looping r3d bug worked for me in a situation where ClipFinder did not (though ClipFinder is a very impressive free app)
Hope some of you will find these useful
cheers
