Free Lens seminar Tuesday at AbelCine NY

We're having another one of our Tech Tuesday seminars tomorrow evening @ 6pm in our NY Education Center. This one is
presented by Yours Truly and the subject is "A Lens Is A Lens Is A Lens." I'll go into what different focal lengths mean for different camera formats, field of view, depth of field, and other lens-related concepts. Free to all and of course there will be plenty of Q&A time -- I know this stuff; this session is for you!

You're not the first to ask. Don't know what we're set up to do. I know we've installed the cameras in the Education Center, but I don't know if we have this set up full blast just yet. The transformation of AbelCine's space is nearly complete, and the process has taken more than a year. Two floors, a vastly larger showroom, interactive displays and equipment displays, an entire education center with a Digital Cinema projection system ... It's pretty cool stuff and I can't wait for the final touches to be done. Then the transformation happens again out in Burbank!

I'll see what we are prepared to do for tomorrow, but much of my session will be a riff on video and articles I've made for our website and Technical Resource blog, Cine Technica. There's a lot of great info over there, some of it general and some of it RED-related (and some for other cameras we won't talk about).
