  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Free 'EPIC-M' HDRx R3D File • (4-Stops) Indoor Fixed on Duclos 11-16 Lens (399MB)

Thank you Michael, for giving us the goods.

Graeme's Magic HDRx sauce should be included in a REDCINE-X build late next week.

Don't just stare at the stills... play the footage.

Jim

One more file added. A003_C006 is 797MB. It is a slower handheld pan from outdoors to indoors with +4 HDRx BUT I did manually adjust exposure from T16 to T5.6 once the outside windows go out of view.

The other file A003_C009 is not finished copying as of 2am but it is a slow zoom at +6 HDRx and may not be very useful but just put it up there for discussion.

Again, all of these shot with the beautiful Duclos modified Tokina 11-16 PL Mount Lens on EPIC-M.

Is there an non HDR-X EPIC-M R3D file link somewhere in the forum to play around with? I looked in advanced search but couldn't find it...I'm particularly interested in printing a frame and seeing how large I can get a "photo" out of it....has anyone tried this?

Did you try clicking the link at the top of this page? This whole thread is based off what you're looking for.

but i understand it's HDR-X and the compression is cut in half. I'm looking for a frame I can print as a photograph at Epic's maximum capacity to check how much enlargement it can hold...I am downloading the link above though, to try it out anyway

You can still grab a frame from any HDRx footage, just open it in RCX and turn off HDR Blend. Take an R3D snapshot and there you go.

You can shoot 48fps (or 24fps HDRx) at 6:1 REDCODE. We recommend 5:1 or 6:1 as our best choice no matter what you are shooting. Spiderman was shot 5:1.
