Frame rate time base issue

Hey guys,

I could use some advice. I recently shot some footage on my dragon. Kind of in a rush, and we needed
to shoot 29.97 fps. I did this but the playback time base never got set so it is 23.97 and varispeed.
I have been trying to find a fix to have it not play back in slow motion. My thought was speed up the 29.97 footage
to 23.98 speed, then do a pull down in compressor and bring it back to 29.97.

Here is where I'm stuck. What's the best way to speed up the varispeed, and by what percentage should I speed it up to get it to 23.98 playback? Can I do it in final cut or only after effects or compressor?

No speeding up.
Just put it into Premiere and interpret the footage as 29.97. Render out a new clip

thanks man! I have premier but don't do a ton of post so don't use it really. Is that just in the timeline settings?

After effects may be a better choice, ability to operate in batches. Keep in mind that you'll have hell on the conform if you try to go back to raw.
