Frame.io has started a new series asking filmmakers why they do what they do and the first one by Toia is pretty incredible, as one would expect with Mark.

Love these things.. Congratts to Emery for pushing this forward. Hope to see many many more.

I always knew Mark could capture amazing images. What I *didn't* know until working with him on this is he is an equally talented editor, sound designer, and vfx artist. The man does it all.

Mark did everything on this from his own archives, new footage, edit, color, vfx, sound design etc.... he is worthy of the title :)

Before watching that, I watched 3 times in a row Mark’s Hydrogen One teaser.
Mark, you’re such an inspiration.

Mark taught me something during a phone conversation back in the early days of RED ONE. There are no excuses in this industry. You can let things get in the way or you can conquer them and move on. Mark has done a lot of conquering and I continue to learn by watching the amazing work he does. He is a machine. I hope I get a chance to work with him one of these days as no doubt I will come away with far more knowledge than I went in with.
 
There really isn't much better in life than proving people wrong so thoroughly that you make a career out of it.
 
Yeah! I agree with Mark that moving images are our best mode of expression and he’s fantastic. Also a Frame.io user. I love it and so do my clients. Great stuff.
