I noticed the other day that setting 16:9 frame guide active with 4K (16:9) puts the actual guidelines INSIDE the recorded image, which is really confusing for operators.
When you set 4K 2:1 the guidelines accurately show the 16:9 maximum recorded area you'd get when cropping in post.
I noticed this when recording a live concert where we were swapping between full 4K 16:9 at 23.98fps and 2K 2:1 at 120fps with frame guides active and set to 16:9 mode.
I know FULL shows it correctly at 4K but with the speed of the swaps I had to do (can't wait for Red to implement a one button option for that config change - say Mode 1 and Mode 2 with settings for each so you can toggle between them quickly) it's one thing I didn't want to have to drill down separately for each time. I ended up turning the frame guide off and using only the centre and safety markers which seem to line up correctly for 16:9 full recorded size for each respective mode.
Thanks!
Paul
