  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Foundry Storm...

Storm's Video Tutorias:
....big thanks for those youtube videos. Keep them coming as they really add time savings to see an overview of storm at use in expert hands. I learned a bundle just watching the two out now. Got in 15mins what took me 6 hours of hands on. MORE please!

I've been using the beta release from day one still not find RC2 & RG2 implemented in beta 2. Also would like to know whether storm plan to implement in next release as complete tool from ingestion stage with data archiving support, Lto archiving, secondary Color correction, tracking, DCP output etc., to use as complete post production tool. Else why you need storm when RCX started edl support!

once i get some R3D files to edit i will use it..... Need a red camera ok dont need one but would like to have one.... can i have a camera to used to test this software ? lol.. The more cameras that is out there ... the more popular and more advance this software will become .

It has a lot of potential! I like it a lot!
Hoping for a multi platform version though (not MAC only)

With 7000+ cameras out in the wild and a lot more to come with Epic and Scarlet, I suspect Storm will be very popular if it can deliver everything that is in development. Think how easy it will be to point to a $395 app and tell people that this one piece of software will solve many of your workflow questions. Obviously in the world of video as we know it today, one app is usually not the one stop shop, but Storm is potentially going to remove some of the obstacles. Redcine-X has also come a long way as well.

I recently tried storm, and while the interface and features were amazingly useful, it has a long way to go in debugging :) It crashed at least half a dozen times for me doing simple tasks.

But when the release version is out, I will be one of the first out there to get it.

Cant wait for gpu acceleration on my laptop with the gtx460 vid card :)

It seems like its got some serious potential. I can see it working as great bridge for DI.

Great stuff thanks for sharing

I had a chance to watch these last night and they explained many questions I had about this program.

Glad people are finding them useful.
