I am owner of #4089 and I am trying to work out what exact posting policy is regarding products for sale? I have been working on a project for quite some time now, being a owner I understand the needs quite deeply that there is lack of some solutions being usable at a reasonable price. I'm unsure how I can post or if I am able to post. By nature I am being deliberately vague as I do not want to post here in one bit of what I am doing till I can find out what rules are. Currently Jarred Land's box is full and I was unable to contact to query if possible.

Thanks for any comments on what can be done.

I'm guessing Greg has got a product he has developed. People have gotten away with selling a small quantity of something and not becoming a Reduser sponsor, but if you are planning on selling a bunch, it's best to go through the proper channels and become a RU sponsor.

You are exactly right I have developed a product, I am not sure how much would sell or how popular it would be. I am not exactly clear what a Reduser sponsor would be however at my current stages I would need to actually get off the ground better before I could contemplate sponsoring anything. I am not adverse to it as the community would be supporting me so it would only be fair. Would you happen to have any further information regarding this Chris?

It only gets tricky if your product is directly competing with the current sponsors. If you have a unique product and want to test the waters here, I think its fair game. As long as it benefits the community.

I do believe it would be of large benefit to the community, it is possible it would be stepping on toes of sponsors though I cannot confirm for sure. I have seen some competing solutions noted on here before so its possible? What I am offering would be unique in the sense of the implementation, idea and I am highly doubtful anyone has attempted what I am in this way. It is just software that makes hardware solutions manageable resulting in dramatic cost reductions.

Greg,

You can PM me for answers to more specific questions if you like.
