Formatting RED CF for HDSLRs

I have 16GB RED CF cards and would like to format them so I can use them in a Canon 5D - in a jam.

Any programs or suggestions?

I don't think they'll work, their too finely tuned to the RED.

Right now it's not working. I need a confirmation.

I've formatted the cards on my mac and then tried formatting in camera with no luck so far.

They have custom hard/firmware for use with Red - formatting won't make them work in a 5D.

If you have Red 8GB CF cards, they will work.

That is correct

I've been using 8G RED CF cards in my 5D Mark II for some time. No problem whatsoever. Just format them in the camera.

Is there something intrinsically different about a 16G card?
