  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

How do I format my mags without erasing the calibration files I keep on them?
right now I eject a drive, copy off stuff, put the mag back in the camera, format it, remove the mag, replace the calibration files, put it back on in camera.
too many steps.

Formatting, by definition, tells the drive "Forget everything that exists on you." Everything.

Shouldn't your calibration files be copied over to the camera, anyway? What files would you need to live on the Mags that aren't the footage that you're shooting at that moment?

I'm talking about extra calibration files I use for some longer exposures and such. They load in a few seconds.

Very useful.

As a partial workaround is it possible to delete media while mounted on a pc and still use the mag without formating in camera ?
