up until last week our Scarlet operated perfectly, then on a production that rented it out for a day, it started giving "recording errors" followed by a yellow record dot, and no way to properly power down. also, it kept giving a hard time formatting the SSDs and gave "format failed" messages. they ended up loosing half a day, then reset the camera to factory settings and got a few shots done.
camera was on firmware 3.2.16, which worked great for me on several shoots and never had these specific problems.

yesterday i took some time to run firmware tests. updating and rolling back on both beta and official versions and shooting until i got errors.

versions 3.0.0 and 3.3.4 and version 3.2.21 all gave too much errors to shoot with

most stable i found is 3.2.19. i managed to shoot on it yesterday a couple of hours of stock footage.

today i kept testing. shot about 45 minutes straight (filling up 2.5 SSDs) until i got the first error. then I got a few more (same recording error- yellow dot) but i could somehow work around them by restarting the camera.
also had formatting failures that i overcame using secure format, or restarting

BTW i am in clean good conditions in an AC studio.

has anyone else been experiencing this? any solutions?

i sure hope its a firmware thing...

Have you opened a support ticket? There is information in the log file that we can use to help determine what is going on.

I've noticed yellow record dot at times, never paid any attention to it as I didn't notice any errors. (beta frimware, I think the latest). I have a busy shoot coming up this weekend. Should I be concerned about the "yellow record dot"?
