  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Forged 6k Weapon and Carbon 6k Weapon Shipping Update

Do you mean from the day you switch your existing Woven CF to Forged CF? If so, not really. :) My Dragon arrived at Red today for its Forged upgrade. I placed my original Woven CF / 8k order on 4/13 and switched it to Forged at later date.

From the posts I have read here on RU, it seems they are sim shipping both upgrades and new orders for Forged and Woven, so probably pretty busy as Nick says.

I can only hope they do the 8k upgrade based on order time stamp. I was up pressing refresh waiting for it to show up in the store. I recall Nick, Blair and others all posting that the upgrade button was not active yet on the order page. :) In fact, had a funny conversation with Blair and Tonaci about all of it when the show floor opened a few hours later. I think we all had accidently ordered a new camera thinking it was the upgrade.

Louisiana received CF Woven #138 today and Atlanta received CF Woven #88 on Nov 5th. So that's 50 CF Wovens shipped in approx 3 calendar weeks, which means RED is shipping about 3 CF Wovens per day.

Anyone had a successful Forged Carbon upgrade lately? My Epic cleared evaluation November 12 (it arrived at RED November 9) and I was told "your new camera should be ready to go outbound within a few business days". The next week I was told it would ship this last week. This last week there was nothing and my rep wasn't able to get an update. I'm really hoping it'll ship the start of this next week because I'm spending thousands renting other cameras and really can't afford to do so with the costs of the upgrade!

Joel, here is my rough timeline.
-I received my allocation email on 11/3.
-They received the camera on 11/4.
-Passed inspection on 11/12.
-Camera shipped on 11/18.
-Accessory credit was in account on 11/25.
-LCD shipped on 11/26 using accessory credit.

Felt like an eternity. My BS rep, Jay, was really wonderful and even sent update emails without prompting.
 
as far as i heard i think Serial Numbers are not shipped out in exact linear order. i think they are picked out of the shelves randomly. so the calculation might be very rough.

It would be cool if Red said "we have xxxx woven cameras to deliver, we ship xxx per week" so we could see the future. I know they kinda tell us when they expect to be done delivering but I'm still curious about the numbers. I realize though that Red may want to keep that info private.
 
My Weapon CF orders were placed on April 13, 2015 08:58 AM.

Wonder where that puts me in the cue... anyone close to that time allocated yet?
