forced shutdown - scarlet hangs when rec reach end of redmag

hallo guys i had this issue twice in one day shooting and i wanna know if some of you experienced it
i didn't notice i was almost at the end of the card and i start rec anyway, at the end, at rec stop, camera hangs with yellow rec-dot on top right corner and there is no way to eject redmag or do any other operation except force power off with power button
firmware 4.0.18 version official no beta
just updated to 5.1.38 will see next shooting if it happens anyway
could be redmag or it's just a software issue closing the file?

recording 4k, 24fps, 8:1 compression on 2x 64gb cards

It happens to me too. Maybe since the last 4 builds.
Try formating the cards in the computer before using them.
It worked for me.

Common bug. The workaround make sure you dont keep recording when your SSD is at 99%.

As the Mag is full the recording can't be finished............hardly rocket science.

stephen dunnow what u mean…. normally it closes the clip at the end of free space and that's it,u eject the mag and put another one, it should not freeze

I had this happen on a 4.xx beta build when I had my Scarlet. I updated the firmware and it fixed the bug.

For anyone wondering, this is not supposed to happen, so if it's happening to you, update your firmware and if that does not fix it, contact RED.
