  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

For those that need more than 120fps...

Well, it's not entirely ideal but, hey, if you're interested here it is:

http://www.visionresearch.com/index.cfm?sector=htm/files&page=Miro_eX4

By the makers of the Phantom HD comes the Miro EX line of high-speed cameras. Now, they aren't ideal because of their low resolution (800x600 max) but I suppose you could always put the footage through Instant HD Pro or other uprezzing software to match. After seeing DVX100 footage uprezzed to HD, I don't think this would be too bad of a solution at all, albeit a $10,000+ solution.

Unfortunately $10,000 will only get you the Miro EX1, which will do 500fps max at 640x480 and 1000fps max at 480x360.

The EX4 does 1000fps at 800x600, with a 12 bit option but it doesn't say the price anywhere so I imagine it is a good deal more than the EX1 :-(

Abel carries and supports all of the Vision esearch Phantom line of cameras, including the Miro models. Any questions we're happy to help.

Abel rents the Miro 4 as well as other Phantom cameras.

I just got a quote on the EX4. About 3 times the EX1...ugh. Such a shame because it sounds like a really fun little camera to use and to have.
