  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to create a curve

How do I create a curve on my DSMC2 camera? I did it before but now I can't see where I can.

That is where I am getting stuck. I don't see where I can adjust the curves. I go to Image >CDL > and then I get these choices, slope, power, offset, saturations, CDLs. I have the latest firmware on my DSMC2.

Sorry to lead you on...a search for the CURVE function in the menu leads to a page that explains that curves are only available in Legacy mode. That kinda doesn't agree with the manual, but maybe that's where things are today.

Awe man! I hope that is not the case. I wonder why Red got rid of it.

I admit I find the whole CDL thing confusing. The legacy three wheels and curve function were familiar and intuitive to use. CDL is not. Is there any good online resources that explain clearly how to best use the controls in CDL and if there is an equivalent to “curves” in the CDL toolbox?

I agree. I just sent Red a email on it.
