I've got two of these and was using for 3d testing. Now it's time to bid farewell to one of them.

Here's what you get:
1. Arriflex Zeiss standard 14mm T2.1 PL mount Mk 2 Prime Lens
(mark 2 is a full rotation for iris)
2. Front and Rear Lens caps
3. 138mm Clip on shade
4. Hard case for both lens and shade

Lens was serviced this year by Stuart at Focus Optics....it was lubed up just after a shoot and used for some testing only since. There is not much i can say about this lens that you won't already know. It's crisp and one of my work horses for underwater work. This is a must have lens in my opinion (or this 14mm FOV). I've tried some Nikon's and others and they are good, but nothing as edge to edge crisp as the Zeiss.

Pictures will show you details.
Price: $6,200 + shipping from San Diego.

This is a stellar deal!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sold one of these 3-weeks ago for over twice this price & without a shade.
Totally shocked that nobody out there sees what I see & jumps on this.

BTW - I believe it is a T2

Doesn't Zeiss mark it as a T2.1?

I think his price is fair, but twice that doesn't seem realistic - I (through Gregory Mirand) had offered the group two of the 14s at about 7k back before the economy went south and nobody was jumping at them.

I'd sell my Zeiss 10mm T2.1 for less than $10K and that is generally considered a much more expensive lens - about 40% more new and more than that used. And the 10mm wasn't really changed much (if at all) when all of them were revamped to become Ultraprimes - i.e. is a more current design than the rest of the "T2.1 standard speeds".

For underwater, for comparison purposes, most of the highend underwater stuff shot in the last 5 to 10 years was shot with 4.5mm wide angles on 2/3" sensor which is 93+ degrees horizontal on 16:9 (Fujinon specs) which is equivalent to a 12mm for S35 motion picture/RED. (The new superwide is 4.3mm from canon at 96+ degrees - closer to 10mm)

Arri specs horizontal view:

8R 114 degrees
10mm 102 degrees
12 mm 92 degrees
14 mm 82 degrees

Actually it is marked T 2.0 my bad. in fact when i bought it it is also marked on the case as t2.0.

I've shot with 8r and 11-16 tokina and although each do have their uses. My 14 is what i prefer for everyday wide angle. Again, completely a subjective matter.

yeah, i'm a bit beside myself that it has not sold either. It's by far the best deal i've seen out there for this exact lens and with the extras--shade and custom built case...and not a cheap case. Also just recently serviced by Stuart at Focus Optics.

oh well....guess i'll just have two of them for a while till someone realizes they want or need it.

Old glass, I guess.

I would go for a Master Prime 14mm rather than two 14mm T2.0s, tokina, and an 8R. Quality, not quantity.

Anyway, good luck with the sale.

Really not very old glass, from the ´90s I guess, and not very different of UP14mm (if not identical inside). Biggest problem, I suppose, is future coverage of bigger sensors... when most present lenses under, let´s say, 25mm will be in trouble...
