[FS: RED OPTICS] For Sale: Red Pro Zoom 17-50mm Lens {$3,000 OBO}

[T.J. Misny]

Hi all,

I'm selling a Red Pro Zoom 17-50mm T/2.9 cine lens. This was purchased via RED.com in June 2011 for $6k. I am asking for $2,800.

Lens is in great working condition -- cosmetically it has some wear and tear, some marks the housing but nothing that impacts quality of image. The zoom ring locked up once in 2013, due to a known defect (read about it here: http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3613323#forum-post-53020076) but it was serviced by RED and has been great since.

Overall a terrific lens which is no longer made by RED -- from what I see online it's in high demand because it's a terrific run and gun lens. Used it for years with Sony F3, F55 and Alexa -- easily the most versatile cine zoom I've encountered! I'm selling because I'm buying a set of primes in the near future. I'm based in NYC (Manhattan) but can ship to anywhere if buyer pays for shipping. Lens comes in original box from RED. I can send pictures if anybody is interested in the purchase.

Best,

T.J.
