I'm selling my personal set of RED Pro Primes. Only used by myself and a few local guys I trust. They're in excellent condition with hardly any signs of use or wear. Pictures available on request, I will post a select few in the next day or so when I have time. Lenses are all freshly cleaned, serviced and ready to go!

Set includes 18, 25, 35, 50, 85 and 100mm all T1.8 and kept in a nice case - original RED RPP case manufactured by Innerspace Cases.

Also included is the RED Pro 300mm v2. To match the RPP's. Includes snoot/ hood attachment and drop-in filter holder. I'm including three low profile Hoya ND filters .3, .6, .9 that fit the holder. This lens ships in its own flight case as well.

I WILL NOT break up the primary set of 6 RPP's. Don't even ask. I will sell the 300mm separate from the rest of the set.

Asking $14K paid via PayPal for the primary 6-lens set and that includes all PayPal fees and shipping within CONUS.

Asking $2500 for the 300mm via PayPal inclusive of fees and CONUS shipping.

Really would like to move this set of lenses. Will consider any reasonably sane offer.

Kinda slow around here...

Hi Jeff,
Let's speed it up a bit...

Where can you get the red primes reliably and quickly serviced in North America? Typical cost and what exactly did you
need to do to service them? A colleague bought a 300mm in the past, sent it back to Red for dust between the elements on a brand new lens.
Then waited and waited and waited....

What is your offer including the Red 300mm and six lens set? I am in Toronto and having to pay 35% on top of the US dollar, so I will
factor that in as well as my idea to marry them with either Red Raven or maybe Red Scarlet-W (which I imagine would vignette).

Thanks. Have a good day. - David

Any good lens tech can service the lenses. They're actually rather easy to break down for service and I would not send back to RED for that. In terms of my set, I have serviced and maintained them myself. They are all free of dust or other debris, the glass is in pristine condition and the mechanics are all smooth. Other lens techs out there, like Duclos, will work on them and they also offer other services like re-marking and tuning to properly match problematic witness marks. This set was never re-marked, although Matthew Duclos does a fine job of it. However, if something fails or if components wear down over time and need replacing, that becomes a different story.

The lenses are out of production and the availability of parts are unknown. It seems RED never made parts available to outside parties, so repair services were best conducted with RED. OTOH, this drops the RPP's into the same repair category as many older lens sets out there -- Zeiss "standards", Super Speeds, older Illuminas, etc.. Where parts are not available. So that means parts need to either be cannibalized from like lenses or fabricated as needed. In reality, that's not going to be much of a concern under normal use. But if you drop a lens and break it, you're best option would be to replace rather than repair. ...Same with many other lenses out there.

These lenses fully cover 5K+ on the Dragon sensor. There is relatively little fall-off or vignette and sharpness and detail remain very high into the corners. The corner performance on the RPP's outperforms most of the counterpart focal lengths of Ultra Primes, no joke. At 6K, the 18mm exhibits slightly clipped corners and the 25 and 35 do show a bit of porthole vignette that is very subtle and easily corrected. There were white field examples of this in one of the SALT threads. If I find the link I'll post it here. I can re-shoot that as well as some other example imagery, but won't get to it until this weekend at the earliest.

As for the +35% on the US dollar, I feel your pain. I have some wiggle room in my pricing, especially if someone wants all 7 lenses, but not 35% worth of wiggle room. I'll break the set and sell individual lenses before slashing prices by 1/3. A couple of the focal lengths are in short supply and easily sell for $3K+ a piece.

If you're seriously interested, hit me up privately and we can discuss further details.

Following that last post, I will break up the 6-lens set. However, I won't part with any of the lenses until I have firm commitments in place for each focal length.
