  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hello!
Have for sale lomo squarefronts F50 35-BAS4-6 T2.5 and F80 35-BAS4-7 T2.5.
Lenses have PL mounts and focus gearrings arri standard. Good condition! Collimated on optical bench and collimator.
Glasses are clean and clear! No scratches or dirty inside! Lenses were made in 1969.

How well do these lenses perform wide open? Or rather, how much do you need to stop down before the lens yields sharp results?

Does anyone own squarefronts that could chime in on their performance/look compared to roundfronts?

I don't use the square fronts for their sharpness. That being said, I think they look great. All of these shots were shot at or near wide open. I would have no issues shooting them wide open.

Yes I agree, Dima's work is very high quality. I have purchased lenses from him and had lenses converted to PL mount. Here is a sample video of my Lomo Square Front Anamorphics (50/80) for those of you interested in seeing sample footage. This may be the wrong forum here since this was shot an an AF100 but nonetheless this is the Lomo section and here is some sample footage of these lenses.
