  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

For Sale: Canon 7D with Hardfront PL Mount (pernament)

Haven't put Red Pro Primes on it, however it will accept the deepest of the Deep PL mounted film lenses that I've tried including a 16mm Ultra Prime. It won't take an optimo rouge because of that weird cylindrical protruding rear element. Would love to give a demo of it this week if you want to bring some red pro primes over.

Lock-up

Lock-up

Is there an issue with the reflex mirror flipping down after a shot?

We have some OCT-19 lenses that go way back, so I assume you would need to lock-up the reflex mirror in order to use them, but if the mirror tried to return down it would break with the lens in the way?

How about a 14mm Master Prime?

The reflex mirror has been removed and the body dustlessly hollowed to support even the deepest lenses. I haven't tested the 14mm master prime but Syndicate of Sweden who modified the camera originally, have put a
14mm ultra prime on it and claim it will accept
even the deepest pl mount lenses (barring the optimo rouge).

Hope that helps make it clear what kind of
modification this is, not a simple clip on adapter. Thanks for looking!

Having done this to the 50D, I must say this is a major surgery.:smash:

Nice work.

Thanks! I should also mention that the baseplate and rods setup easily unbolts for use in an underwater housing or something nice and small like a crash camera ;)

Answer:
Had it for Two Months.

Had ONE rental.

No one is hiring me personally to shoot any projects with it either.

Nothing irks me more than advanced technology sitting Idly. If no one is going to rent this thing from me, and no one is going to hire me to shoot with it, my money is better off earning interest in my savings account than going unused on a specialty piece of equipment.

Thanks for asking Mr. Sutton.
