I'm moving on, but I bet someone could use a great HD-SDI video capture card.
This card is no longer made by Blackmagic, but it's supported by their 'one size fits all' Decklink software & driver package. It sold for $1,000 new.
This card is for both Windows & Mac, and fits in a PCI Express slot (4 Lane). The HDMI ports require a second 'dummy' slot, preferably adjacent.
You can read tech specs and such here: http://www.adorama.com/catalog.tpl?o...ku=VDBMDLHDEX2
It has two breakout cables included - the pro cable, and the consumer cable. The distinction is the consumer cable is all RCA plugs, the pro cable is BNC and XLR connectors, plus a remote.
Either way, you get Composite, Component, Svideo, HDMI, and HD-SDI I/O, plus two channels of audio.
NTSC/PAL, PsF modes, etc - it's a well rounded card.
Works great. Asking $425
NOTE: This model essentially has been superceded by the 'Decklink Studio' which sells for $695. The Decklink SDI doesn't offer HDMI or analog I/O.
