I have an unused Angenieux Type EZ-2 lens for sale in the UK. It’s a warranty replacement that I received from Angenieux in December 2019. Since then it’s been stored in a peli case, in a very clean and dry office. It includes all the original packaging, and 8 months manufacturers warranty.
The lens history:
My original lens was purchased in March 2019, and after 5 projects (shooting with the VV back), with splendid results, I found a fault with the s35 back. A claim for a repair went in to Angenieux in October, and after some back and forth they replaced it with a completely new unit in early December – with a new warranty that began in October (when my claim was made). They determined that the s35 back was out of alignment and it should never have been supplied in that condition.
Although there was some delay, in the end I received excellent customer service from Angenieux. They essentially apologised for the error, and provided a brand new lens with a warranty that began from the date I sent the original lens back to them.
Unfortunately though, in the time without the lens (October-December) I got used to not using it, and started using auto focus zooms for much of the doc work I shoot. My working practices changed, and the lens has been sitting on a shelf throughout January. It’s time to to give it a new home with a shooter that will use it more.
It is in brand new unused condition – and perfect working order. The manufacturers' warranty started on 01/10/19, and as such you are effectively looking at a brand new lens, but with a big saving.
Included in the sale:
-Angenieux Type EZ-2 PL Mount 2.7x Zoom Lens with IRO Technology
-22-60mm FF/VistaVision T3 back
-15-40mm s35 T2 back
-Zoom/Focus lever
-Shim set
-Original box and packaging
*additional items
-precision screw driver and hex keys for IRO conversion
-Peli 1450 carry case
Brand new price from CVP (UK) is £10,614.03+VAT
I’m asking £9,000+VAT (this includes the drivers and peli case for free!)
I’m happy to meet up for testing within a 60 mile radius of Oxford (where I’m based), including London. And people are welcome to come to my studio to test the lens.
Please feel free to DM me with any questions. I’m open to serious offers.
