Hello need your help again friends

has anyone tested any of these follow focus units and which is going to be the best in your opinions.

-viewfactor remote ff ?
-redrock remote ff ?
-donancamera manual and remote ff?

and any others i dont know about?

just trying to figure out that last peice of the puzzle as im sure alot of you are.

thanks

p.s. anyone feel manual or remote ff is best for all around use ?

I like manual ones with Speed Cranks and Whips if i need more or distance controls.

Everything depends on what you are doing, i will be getting the Viewfactor system as i have a few shots that would be best wireless.

Im making my own manual focus system at the moment, im just waiting for some silicone to arrive and i can continue moulding everything (it wont be brown btw it will be grey)

$200 dollars so far.

I will do, shouldn't be too long about 2 or so weeks till its done. Its got 19mm rod support with 15mm as well. I'm getting the marking disks laser cut in white perspex in a week or so by a mate.

This is one of three i am going to make. A Cine Version, a Video version, and a Single sided version for the lightweight hand held rig situation. Can't wait till its all done.

All i need is to find a 0.8 film pitch gear that i can use . . . . anybody know of anything?

Andrew.

I tried out viewfactor's ff early on in it's development and it was very sweet then. Smooth, responsive, and well built. Definitely check it out if you can.

Check for Bartech focus device (BFD). I use it on my Steadicam and on my Red. Together with a Heden motor unbeatable for the price. Check with new.steadicamforum.com. Some guys sell their wireless there and you WILL get good infos.
