focus hook set... any clue ?

I've got a couple of tiny screws, together with a small part I can't really describe, all in a plastic bag with "focus hook set" written on it... uh... what is it exactly and what am I supposed to use it for... Is it specific to te PL mount (which I don't use) ?

It screws in to a hole right in front of the side record button, but on the front of the camera. It is a hook for attaching a tape measure when taking focus marks.

efp/eng usage, not to speak of wildlife shooting does not allow that much tape focussing, nor huge crews around the Red... Thought focussing myself by eye in an evf could be a bit more practical..

I believe it is a $45 item. So you bought it but don't need it? Is there any other that you have and "don't need"? I can relieve you of them.
