Hey guys

Quick questions about the Scarlet. How do you get the focus assist using only the touch screen monitor (if it's possible)?

I have heard that the sidehandle is the only way that allows you to use focus assist.

Thanks

on the touch screen monitor hit the top button on the left side of monitor. that will punch in to focus. also if you go to focus and turn edge on, that also helps finding quick focus.

you can also have the monitor zoom in on the touch if you pinch the screen just like the iPhone. it's in the LCD settings

couldn't you re-assign, say, one of the 2 SSD Panel's buttons to activate focus-assist as needed. These 2 buttons are un-assigned individually (ie, the _pair_ used together just operate "eject" as Factory Default)

Half press on the record button on the SSD will do auto focus if you're in one of the auto focus modes. I've assigned one of the two free buttons on the SSD to toggle the focus mode. Works, for now.

turn pinch on to magnify in your menu options.

The other great way to get to all your focus options, is just touch the histogram - and then choose false colour, edge, magnify or what have you.
