I’m not sure if anyone is interested but on another post someone mentioned a aluminium protective case. I didn’t want an aluminium case but here is a picture of a foam pack the case company did for a Pelican case.

That looks great. Please let us know if it's available for order and any other details you can share.

Love the yellow interior. Makes it MUCH easier to see black camera parts! Would like to know the name of the company please.

Second the yellow interior bit...

The only downside I see is that it appears to be made for the camera body without the ET baseplate or Red Bottom Plate attached. You can make the case that reattaching the ET baseplate is an easy endeavor, just two screws, but the red bottom plate is another thing altogether. In any case, I think it's great to be able to build the camera out of the case without the need for tools, be it a screwdriver or allens. My camera goes into my case with those base accessories fixed to the camera at all times, so it goes straight from the case onto a dovetail, fast and easy. The only downside is that this requires a deeper case overall, but I personally think it's worth it.

Just a consideration...

Love the foam...

Love the foam...

That's awesome!

Where did you find this?

I would love to get their info. This setup is perfect for a friend of mine.

What size Pelican case is this?

Pelican 1650?

Thanks.

The foam pack layout was my design, I gave them the equipment for a few days and then they came back with a suggested layout.

I then made some alterations and they then sent me a final design for approval.

I’m guessing they keep all the shape patterns so I’d just ask for what kit you need.

The Company was CP Cases www.cpcases.com
