Fluid head and Mattebox for the budget conscious

After Arrinick pointed out to me that 155mm is not the proper spacing for Red, I have cancelled the auction and reinstated it as a collectors item auction and removed all Red references from the listing. The previous auction has been cancelled. The O'Connor 100 is still listed and a great item...

are you sure that matte box takes 19mm rods? I am pretty sure they were not in use when it was made and the scale looks all wrong to be 19mm. sure looks like 15mm.

I just measured it again to confirm. The Mattebox will indeed fit 19mm rods. The spacing is 155mm

Uh, how does that help anyone with mounting to 19mm rods? 19mm Arriflex standard are on 104mm centers, you said you measured at 155mm... That must be part of the old Mitchell standard, so this mattebox is not going to mount to 19mm rods on the RED without some sort of adapter to alter rod spacing.

Also, I'm still skeptical of the 19mm measurement.

The OConnor 100 is actually still quite a decent head. It's a friggin boat anchor so whoever buys it will get a good workout but still all in all a good head. Oconnor made a light weight 100 version, I think made of aluminum, but they did not make very many of them.
