  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Flowcine Gravity One

Hello Doug.

what you describing as a bolt, is a swivel full supported bearing pivot. The arm swings on bearings left to right so it takes left to right errors as well.

the installation of the Serene is done once, with a new string we will provide and it stays there.

you can go up to 25 kg loads with out problem if your easyrig arm can take it :))

the easy rig clamp rests on the extended arm of the serene and under

so its the same just a little higher.

a video will come soon just to see how it is.

Alex , you are correct. :))

regards

Constantine

There are many uses of the Serene arm and with a very wide range of cameras and gimbals

here is just some of the possibilities and combinations..

easyrig mounting, together with G1 or G1 with Kenyon 4x4,6x6 , or G1E. or any other Gimbal .
hard mount ,vehicle mount , boat mount, heli mount. together with G1E or G1 withKenyon 4x4, 6x6.
future upcoming gyrojib for live action car chasing together wityh G1E.

Future is coming ...inside 2014.

stay tuned...

Hey guys!

Just wanted to let you know that we will be together with our USA distributor 16x9 inc in the Band Pro / Booth #C10408 at NAB.

We will show some soon to be released (right after NAB) upgrades for the Gravity One, that greatly enhances the system (test footage in progress), as well as the prototype of the Serene Spring arm that works with any kind of gimbal (our G-1E included). We are very proud of our little spring arm solution, that with the Serene, be able to vertically stabilise camera systems between 10-44lbs on a existing Easyrig 2.5/3 arm, while at the same time be able to bring the camera up to eye level and higher without any problem!

Unfortunately we wont be able to show live demonstrations of the G-1E just yet. We stepped up the whole system quite a bit, and are now working with the leading company in sensor fusion technology, ensuring that we have the best performance that is achievable. The engineers are optimising the code, and it wouldn't do justice for the system to show it next week. So we rather present it a little later this spring once its fully done! Being able to handle up to 33lbs camera weight is no easy task, but we ensured we have the torque to drive this easily ;) I think our new way of controlling the rig will also surely drop some jaws!

Hello guys.

As Peter and Micke are flying to Las Vegas today, Iam left back to assemble the new motor parts that resulted after our tests.

We also made a huge weight cage that can simulate any camera from3.5kgr- 18 kgr so we can play with the auto tune function of the system.

Now the electronics team will tune all functions and software and after that we are going to be testing a brand new way of controlling the camera motion, something that has never been seen before.

So until then please dont hesitate to visit us at NAB on the booth we are together with our USA distributor 16x9 inc in the Band Pro / Booth #C10408

Peter will showing the New Serene prototype and some other cool upgrades for your Gravity one.

The Gravity One extended G1E is the next step, handling huge loads, cameras at any size, any kind of accessories ,lenses, and configurations, up to 15kg/33lbs.

Can we do it? You ll find out ....very soon..

stay tuned , not far now..

regards

Peter getting ready at NAB , 16x9 stand , everything on board.

Come by and visit us, to see more

Here is Peter on Nab demonstrating the Gravity One with a heavy load camera set up, watch at 0.44 the effect of the Gravity One.
We are planing on doing demos with overloaded Epic set ups, using our Epics with just about everything you can imagine on them, showing the upcoming Gravity One Extended that will take care of cameras from 3-15 kgr or 33lbs.
Also on the video you take a small taste of the Serene prototype arm

I checked this out yesterday at NAB. Very cool!

How does this compare in real world stabilization to the other rigs that are just coming out.

Hey Dan.

the Gravity One is a mechanical device as for now. but it already does a very good job.

However be aware that in about a few months from now Gravity One Extended is coming.

Its an upgrade for Gravity One , and the upgrade can be adapted directly from the user.

Its a 3axis fully gyrostabilized gimbal with creative handles and some really cool camera controls for one man operation.

Support cameras up to 33 lbs/ 15 kg simply twice the capacity of any gimbal currently available.

if you will like info please contact us.

we create new ideas and there is a lot of new gear that we will bring on 2014 taking camera operation to another level

one is the Serene spring arm that adds 2 axis on any current gimbal being used with easy rig.

I think its all worth the wait.

best regards

Thank you everyone who took their time and visited our booth! It has been a really nice show, but after carrying around the 32 pound Alexa for more or less 30 hours these past days, I'm kinda glad its over ;) Not that it would been any problem to continue for a couple of days more, but I'm starting to loose to much weight hehe. It would be great to hear from people coming by if you enjoyed the demonstration. We are maybe not the best salespersons yet, but we feel we are pretty great at what we do :) For our current users, we will send out information shortly about the new custom Abec-9 bearings we used on the show, and will take your system to the next level. We are super happy about the performance of these! /Regards Peter K

Peter you did a great job demoing to me. Too bad it wasn't an Epic... Ha ha kidding!

Hello guys.

While Peter is trying to put together some footage so you guys can see the performance of the Gravity One Gimbal, and the new upgrades, I just want to make a small update about our next step that we are working on, and thats the Gravity One Extended .

Our electronics partner is working on the software and electronics and the first tests are very good. For those tests we have made a weight cage that can be transformed from a 3,5kg camera - 18kg camera.

so here is the features we are aiming at , and we are hoping to show all this on IBC 2014.

1) Auto torque calibration ( one push button auto calibration for both camera weight and rotational limits after balancing the camera on 3 Axis via trim stage and tilt height adjustment)

2)Cameras are NOT limited in weight or size restrictions. That means that you can use a small 3.5kg camera body and lens, or, use a huge 15kg camera package with long lens, and any kind of accessories , like 3 lens motors, mate box, back battery plates and batteries and no size limitation. So any module that can be placed behind your camera is no problem for the Gravity One Extended.

3) Huge torque and speed. Our motors will be able to play with the max camera limit of 15kg+ , and move it like a toy just like any pro camera head .

4) New controller for the camera pan tilt and roll control ( nothing you have ever seen before, curently being patented, and the most exiting part of the G1E gimbal)

5) additional joystick high resolution control.

6) creative handles with pivots that help in fluid motion from high to low mode real time action.

7) direct adaptation click on/off quick release for easy rig to easy rig, to crane , to cablecam, etc. That means you quick release with the click of a button and you can click the system on with one instant insertion.

8) Motion control record and playback data for special fx .Record and play back your motion for sfx motion control

Since its good for people to not only know the pros of a system but also the limitations carried and truly stated, below is the limitations of the Gravity One Extended.

1) Cannot be adapted on a Drone since there is no Drone that can carry our max camera weight . However the system can be placed in other aerial platforms , that can be aerial, as well as all type of hardmounts, vehicle and boat mounts etc.

2) limited Tilt angle that varies according to camera, but around +/- 60 degrees , meaning that you can tilt up 60 degrees or tilt down 60 degrees total 120 degrees. That means that you will be able to perform 90% of any asked crane shots apart of the shots that need vertical screw ups hats on moves.Having said that.. small camera packages like a bare Epic or other small in size set ups can probably be tilted at any angle.

3) limited roll motion . We use the roll axis for horizontal correction , and in some cases that a roll is needed we can roll at one side 30 degrees, and on the other side 55 degrees.

4) Gravity One Extended is not made for shoulder mode, and with our easyrig add ons and adaptation its not needed

what is possible

1) you can pan the camera 360 degrees and that means that a full size camera up to 15kg and at any length size can be paned 360 degrees and allow good adaptation for crane shots ( I make this clear since it has been mentioned in another gimbal manufacturer as a comment)

2) you can tilt the camera at any length more or less total 120 degrees and if the camera is a small package in size and weight its possible to tilt at any needed angle at 300 degrees.

3)you can roll the camera 30 degrees from one side 55 degrees from the other side, and there is also an auto limiter that will not allow you to overpass those limits , very similar function like the lens motor systems, with auto calibration.

4) Using the system with our revolutionary controls, you will be able to make Don Juan moves together with the easy rig, as well as high(eye level +) to low mode (20cm from ground) in fluent moves and transitions.

5) you will be able to perform wip pans with accurate control .

6) you will be able to place any camera load up to 15kg, and at any pro set up with full on accessories like motors, batteries, any kind of lenses, and other add ons.

7) you will be able to record your pan tilt and roll moves and play back for sfx.

8) Balancing the camera is a 4 minute procedure via trim stage and tllt stage .

8)all functions user friendly buttons and no time consuming apps for laptops or smart phones. Those will be available as secondary , but our approach is a fast run and gun gimbal for pro camera set ups with out limits and wasting time. After all, we know what matters.

this is our approach to pro camera gimbal work and this is what we are aiming for, and hopefully demonstrate at IBC 2014.

Ill be happy to answer any technical questions you might have with realistic answers and not assumptions.

we have various patents that are being taken care as we speak, and that is the main reason being quiet lately.

But I hope this can be an interesting read up for you , and see what the future brings. I wish I could give more information on the patented features but I cannot at this stage.

Edit> The Gravity One Extended is a user direct upgrade , that means that current Gravity One customers will be able to upgrade buying the upgraded system in 1, 2, or 3 axis.

thanks for reading

Best regards
