  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Flowcine Gravity One

Yes I guess it is ;) For the Earlybirds its 1920€, that also ensures you to be the first in line for the soon to be released G-1E upgrade aswell. We are very close on knowing what the "extended" upgrade will cost, so I will post those numbers as soon as its definitive. I wont be anywhere near the "other" rig that maybe also handles a Alexa (or will it?)... The retail price for the G-1 will be 2450€ after the campain, because we can't hold that insane low price for very long.. :) /Regards Peter K

Hi Peter, great work! If the price is right on the stabilized upgrade, then this may well be right for me. Any plans to get a demo model out to the US soon? Also how much noise will the motors in the extended version make?

We are also looking for info on this product.

Hey guys! Regarding price and specifications for the motorized upgrade, I unfortunately cant give you this info this very moment. We are still testing various combinations of motors and gears and other things. However I will be able to provide this information long before the campain is over (the only drawback, would be that you then might be further down in the line, and maybe pay a tiny amount more for it if the early adopter slots are already taken).

There won't be any demo units going out until the last prototype is done (we are still way to busy doing R&D, and our only planned public apperance will be IBC for now, starting this week), and then we are only weeks away from final delivery so chances is that it will be another user that demo the G-1 for you, before we ever have the chance to come over and do a roadtrip.. However, we have strong interest from resellers, so there might open up another opportunity that change all this pretty soon :) Its all very exciting!

We had some feedback regarding our Indiegogo video.. And some parts where not as clear as we hoped it to be, so today we fixed it :) As a bonus we tried walking with gyros today.. It was a great test, and can't wait to shoot some more with the KS2x2 next time.. Incredible how steady everything is thanks to the G-1 :) Now we are off to IBC!

After many requirements and questions, Iam writing this to confirm the following

1- G1 gravity one Gimbal, that is currently available on indiegogo campaign come G1E ready. That means that the backers will receive a G1 production model, that can be later upgraded to a fully motorized 1,2, or 3 axis gimbal, just by buying the needed modules.

2- G1 and G1E gimbals will handle camera loads up to 17kg , so users can load all the needed accessories they desire, with out lens or accessories limitations.

3 - G1 is the only gimbal that works with Kenyon 4x4 directly, and can be attached to any vehicle mounts, bungee cord, or other kind of mount for vehicle shots

4- G1E (gravity one extended) is the only gyro stabilized gimbal that works with sensor gyro stabilization motor control , turning cameras up to 17 kg, and its the only one that can also combine the sensor gyro stabilization with the Kenyon gyro stabilization, WORKING TOGETHER with 4x4 Kenyon gyros , or even 2x2 , if someone desires to pull those extra long lenses and require extra stability

5- G1E can work in under - slung and over head mode.

More updates for easy riggers. A new spring mount is currently under design and development that will allow you easy riggers to absorb your footsteps and running errors, while, at the same time you will be able to use the full privileges of the easy rig extension cord.
the additional mechanism will be able to get adapted on your previous easy rig arms from the user directly, converting your easyrig arm to a easyrig spring arm, with adjustable tension of the spring on the fly tool-less, for the very best combination of cord force versus spring isoelasticity, versus camera and gimbal load.

So as you see we are not doing a copy paste clone work, we are going ahead with brand new fresh ideas , converting your easyrigs and into full stabilizing devices

we are also working on steadicam adaption, but one that can make sense to already available steadicam operation procedure, other than a mount on device that is hard to control.

all this and more coming in the next months to follow.

Thank you all for the great response.

Visit as at IBC, at the Swedish pavilion, and also easyrig stand . Peter will be there to show you the very first prototype of the G1 and explain you the G1 to G1E upgrade procedure.

I hope you will like what you see, and get prepared for even more ...very shortly in the upcoming months.

best regards

Hello CK the model used is 2.5 with 300N arm , but it was a little underpowered for the camera load+ gimbal_+ 4x4 Kenyon, so Peter had to hold it most of the time, as the cord force wasn't enough to keep it float at any height.

Eventually you will need a to get the correct arm in Newton cord force from Easyrig, according to your desired loads. Don't forget we fly from lightweight to heavy load cams, so that makes the easyrig arm to be different according to your load.

But I believe you will be covered with a 400 N model arm.

We can use ANY accessories mounted , lens motor extra batteries on rods, matte boxes, lenses, the rig is not limited at all, to any stripped down configuration.

Also please note that Peter is not either a steadicam or easy rig operator and that is the first time he operates either with Easyrig + G1 + KENYON 4X4.

that is footage produced with out any practice or technics, and they are so many things you can do with it.

From run and gun to steadicam style Don juan .

Thanks for your interest

Thanks for the quick reply! I shoot a ton of doc style handheld, and often work with a heavily stripped down, and highly mobile EPIC...I can usually get away with a 5-7 KG full load, perhaps up to 10 KG depending on the lens/battery needs... so am trying to figure out which easyrig kit is the best fit for me. this product coupled with the Easy rig looks like my ideal setup... very cool!
Thanks
-CK

You are very welcome. If you need details, since we work together with the very well known easy rig inventor and owner Johan Helsten , I can get more specific info about what choices you have dealing with different loads, and what wouldb e ideal.

Johan is one big enthusiastic of our work and we will be showing stuff at IBC on easyrig stand as well.

There is also some info on their website.

I hope that helps

Thanks again for your comments and interest.

if you have any detailed questions and you need assistance please contact me directly , I will be glad to help .

Hello. For those who are in IBC, Peter is at the Swedish Pavilion, and also Easy rig stand running around with the Easyrig , G1 prototype, Kenyon 4x4 , and Epic .
So have a look for him and a get to know the G1 with hands on experience.
Thanks all for your interest

Hello .
A quick update . The IBC goes really well.
Everyone so far gave us positive feedback, using the actual prototype, and all easyrig distributors around the world are crazy about the G1 device and the way it works.
So soon after the campaign we are looking at many orders from them.

There are also some major companies that we will announce once contracts are being signed, and that is big.

Iam also redesigning small accessories to make the device even more user friendly on manual operation, and also to a brand new spring arm that will make the easyrig cord arm, a fully operational spring device , with out cancelling the cord extension feature, and that will be an add on, that takes most of the step running up and down motion.
Today, last day on IBC, if anyone still didn't have the chance on playing with it, I suggest you do.
We are all up to real testing and hands on experience and like to hear your voice.

Generally, G1 AND G1E as well as some extra accessories for different cameras will take everyone to a a new venture, for hand held, stabilization , and various other modes that can be operated ergonomically from any operator, but most important in so many configurable ways, that you will be blown.

Thank you all for your interest and support.

best regards

Dear Constantine,
Please consider making the spring arm also mountable on the front of, say a Steadicam vest, that is: underslung. -Like a small support platform on your belly, for low mode /Hasselblad shooting style :-)

Hello Soren.
The spring arm I have designed is a direct add on for easyrig arms, and specifically for this.
on a steadicam rig you will just use the arm of the steadicam .

but the current design is only for easy rig and will be also made for Klassen rigs .

Thank you for your interest

Had the great pleasure of testing the G1 at IBC yesterday. Wonderful piece of equipment with an elegantly simple basic design that offers lots of options of using and upgrading it in different ways. Love it! And pre-ordered today...

Hey Sebastian!

Thank you for the nice comments! We are completely drowning in questions from people right now that where not being able to go to IBC, so it was totally worth being able to show the unit on the floor and let you guys have a go :) Thank you for your backing! We will take very very good care of our early adopters ;)

Great news and a lot of contracts with majors distributors all around the world, as well as some pretty big industry brands.
Also the upgrade of G1 the G1E , 1,2 and 3 axis gyrostabilized, directly upgradable from the users end, will be ready for demos in aprox 1 month , or around the end of the campaign.

New updates for the G1 production model, that will also be the rig that backers will receive by buying from indigogo campaign.

1) Bigger Bow frame to allow even more cameras to work with G1,and more space for on the fly adjustments

2) New X,Y trim stage , running on linear bearings for fine on the fly tool-less side to side and front to back adjustment as well as a dovetail
platform for positioning and lock the camera at the CG before the fine trimming.

3) All necessary brackets and hardware for the G1E motorized upgrade will be there from the start , so users will only need to buy the motor modules to upgrade to 1,2 or 3 axis gyrostabilized system

4) Since you have now the ability to fly heavy loads and at any size and length, you will be able to run the complete G1E gyrostabilised system from your camera batteries, what ever that will be, V mount, Red volts, PAG, or AB, via cable.

5) new and more ergonomic handle grip.

additional accessories

1) Various camera top plates for easy mounting

2) Easy rig direct adaption of a spring arm taking care of your walking running up and down errors as well as using the full string extension from easy rig
(patent pending)

3) Ergonomic speed racer handles ( for use with the G1E 3 axis gyrostabilized rig)

4) Steacicam arm adaption bracket (will work for over or under slung mode)

5) Clever handle ( for use with the G1 manual operation , for tilting the camera easier)

Last below is a happy user of the G1 in IBC 2013, the easy rig man inventor himself, and one of our biggest fans and supporter Johan Hellsten playing with the G1 prototype and Epic with redvolts.

Thank you all for the great interest and support

Some updates! We did final testing of the G-1 of prototypes one week ago, and now we are totally satisfied with every single detail, and handed over the production 3D Cad files to the factory. While we are waiting for the first units to come out, we would like to show you what we improved over the last month. So here's a little list of what we think is the most important ones, that will be in the final version of the G-1 and is different from what you've seen before:

  • We extended the entire G-1's frame a little bit bigger to accommodate even larger cameras and rigs. For example, you could now fit a wide camera rig like the Red Epic+DSMC side handle. The distance between the bows are also larger, allowing more tilt angle.
  • The frame is extended on the roll, so it now rolls 25 degrees to the camera left and 60 to the camera right.
  • We built in lock mechanisms for the tilt and roll axis, so that you can lock up the G-1 if you need to place the camera on a tripod for example.
  • We made a super slim, completely revamped balancing stage. This allows for super easy, precise and quick balancing off the camera. We incorporated easy-to-use thumb fine trimming knobs that you can spin to fine tune the camera's x and y position.
  • We updated the handle, to be a quite a bit bigger, and with loads of different sized mounting holes. We also added a little groove that perfectly fits the Easyrig camera hook. This ensures that hook stays in centre, no matter what.

These are perhaps our favourite updates, but there are many more slight modifications and improvements as well. Have a look at our latest visualisation, and see for yourself:

I know most of you waited for the Gravity One Extended prices. These following prices will ONLY be available for the Indiegogo backers.
There is no time limit on this offer though, once you ordered a G-1, so you can upgrade whenever you feel like it!
After the campaign these prices will be about 20-25% more though for people arriving late to the party, because then everything goes into the "distribution" system, raising the costs.

We will announce features, and delivery times at a later date (We are VERY excited about this though).

This is the special upgrade price for early backers:

G-1E brain including roll motor/sensor (100% stabilisation on roll): 1650 Euro
Additional axis (up to a total of three axis): 1000 Euro per axis
Wireless/Wired Joystick (User controlled tilt/pan etc.): 180 Euro
