A few days ago while shooting a commercial, on 2k 16:9 120fps, build 20, we we're noticing some flicker problems. we checked the lighting, and i played with the shutter to try and find sync but nothing helped. as a last resort i restarted the camera and the flickering disappeared. i went back to the shutter menu, played with one option and the flickers started again until a restart. we went through the day having to restart the camera every now and again to prevent this... weird.
anyone come across this? have any suggestions on what might have been the problem?
thanks.
Eli

I had similar flicker problems which were resolved by changing out the battery plate. Would go away on a reboot and then show up radomly after a battery change. Of the 4 batteries I was using, two were more prone to creating this problem due to contact tolerance differences. Hope this helps.

I've got a flicker as well, don't know if it's the same as yours. I get a flicker every 20-30-50 times I start the camera. Isn't always noticeable when I start the camera. But re-starting the camera has always fixed it.

At first I thought it was just the LCD, but then I found out it is recording the flicker. As long as I catch it and re-start, it hasn't been the end of the world. I've missed it a couple times though with timelapses or spontaneous action, I've kicked a couple rocks and sworn a bit. I've sent a few Log Files to Red, hoping they can figure out something.

That's all I know, but I got it. Sorry to hear that you do, if it's the same thing.

I've noticed, mainly in earlier builds in varispeed, that sometimes the viewfinder will disply the pulsing that one would get if recording at a framerate yet not at other times as if the display were at a normal frame rate... For some bizarre reason.
