Flicker Free!!

I just want to make sure that the flicker on the monitors of TV or a PC, is because of the interlaced scanning?? the flicker doesn't appear on the LCD monitors.. is it because of the scanning method of LCD because it is progressive ? pls help me..:emote_happyhappy:
