I would worry far more about color accuracy and less about the 4K.

The Flanders are not perfect but can be trusted for accurate color evaluation and measuring/correcting exposure. The other said device will get the color close. But close is not quantifiable because it lacks a proper way to measure the incoming signal.

Well what do you like in the sub 5k or so price range? I been eyeing JVC and Sony as well but I love that Flanders can recalibrate as needed for free by sending it in vs expensive calibrations on Sony/JVC at probably abelcine since I'm nyc based? The eizo calibrate feature seems interesting but I agree color accuracy should be my main goal vs UHD. Out of all the entry models what do you guys like and why? My boss has a few JVCs he may sell but I think calibration might cost as much as the second hand sale lol? How often do you guys calibrate as well while I have your attention and do you do it yourself or have it serviced and where?

The Flanders NAB floor models generally discount $1000-$1500 off the retail price. Often referred to a B Stock. Takes about 2 weeks after the show to be re-evaluated and purposed for delivery. The OLED units offer the best uniformity and color reproduction fidelity.

Calibration can be nebulous affair unless you commit yourself to grasping the implications of some of the failure points along the signal chain:

- panel quality and uniformity
- course RGB controls (gain, bias, brightness, contrast, chroma)
- spectral distribution variance in a non controlled environment.

Can you call the order in while not being at NAB? That'd be nice! I got a new full time post gig and won't make it this year

I think you can put in the order now, directly on the website. You have any outstanding questions related to their products, just give a call and ask. Very customer oriented company. Good luck.
