I've done quite a bit of work for non-profits and with each one, brings a new experience. I have never served in the military, but I have the upmost respect for those that do. It's because of those who have served and are currently serving that we have our freedom. So thank you.

The Riverside National Cemetery, home to over 250k graves of our fallen heroes, had an event to honor those who have given their life. The Cops4Kids organization participated in this event, where above every tombstone, a flag would be placed as a symbol of our freedom, the very reason they gave their life.

My AC and I ran around for a couple of hours with an Epic MX strapped to a MoVI and an Exoskeleton (Tiltaman Armormax) to get as much footage as we could of the kids honoring those who have served. Every year prior, they used the song Proud to be an American in their video. I wanted to steer away from the norm, and do something a tad different with a song that you could actually license without a hefty fee. I also wanted their to be a tad bid of heartfelt story in it too, by having one child narrate a bit in the beginning, instead of just a plethora of b-roll, so I had an intro idea to hopefully grab the viewer. Cops4Kids liked the concept and away we went.

During the day, I knew that we needed something else creatively that would be the icing on the cake and the close of the video. So I had some cadets line up, do a right face, and salute several fallen heroes, falling to their knees to honor them. I think it worked.

Hope you guys enjoyed it.

Nice job, Chris.

Several years ago I shot some footage of Wreaths Across America at the Georgia National Cemetery. But yours looks much nicer, great color too.

Thanks Mark. Yea, still loving my trusty MX sensor. I barely touch the images in the grade...just a simple LUT and some minor tweaks generally. Contax glass helps a lot too with the color rendition.

That looks great, Mark!
God bless America.

Thanks Adam (think you have a typo at the end hehe). America is an amazing place to live that's for sure. We are truly blessed by those who serve our country.

Awesome work, as always. You have a knack for gorgeous cinematography that draws you in...emotionally. Very hard to do.

You make it look easy!!!

1000 congrats.
