Hi
As always nothing is final until the product is released however...
Will we be able to pull focus with a PRO REDMOTE using a 8x FIX SCARLET? Will we be able to see where the lens is focused (ie. 2ft) electronically (as I understand that the ring is for 3 options... focus, iris and zoom so markings on there would be a bit crowded).
Also I was wondering if in the future RED have the plan of building motors into all of their professional lenses for focus, iris and zoom. Thus when using these lenses with an ELECTRONIC RED MOUNT and a RED WIRELESS FIZ UNIT (possible name), you will be able to control focus, iris and zoom without attaching 3 motors to the rails, cables all over the place, attaching an MDR unit and taking time to set up while adding weight!
I understand that this may cause the lenses to become much larger it would be a cool feature that could possible be solved the way Panavision designed their zoom lenses... the motor can come off... so it will be possible to take the motors off for some shots or just leave it on.
What do you all think?
