  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

FISHING WITHOUT NETS - Shot on Epic and Scarlet

Looks amazing! RED + Classic Zeiss = Awesome.

Does look like a more visceral version of Captain Philips (a movie I enjoyed quite a lot). Looking forward to this.

So real !
The tones are stunning !
Was totally authentic. I saw it at Sundance and heard the cast go over the filming (they were able to get a fairly large group to Sundance which was real cool). On the credits i saw that skywalker sound did the track, and they really did a great job(i jumped a couple of times when i was watching the film). There was a lot of great films shot on Epic and Scarlet at Sundance that had excellent feel and texture.

wow!

wow!

Thanks Jarred! I'm honored to see so many people post kind words about our film! I hope we can get it out into the wider world as soon as possible so you can all see it! We shot for 77 days in VERY extreme conditions, and both the Epic and the Scarlet held up remarkably well. I've shot three features on RED cameras now, two of which dealt with dark skin tones in often harsh lighting conditions, and I'm always impressed with how well I can dig into the shadows of the image.

Thanks again all!

Alex

Wow, what a great look and what a great story.

Hey Bob, I don't have any BTS pics myself, but there will be an article on the film in an upcoming issue of ICG Magazine that should feature a few.
