8mm will only deliver 180* coverage on one of the two axis. If you need full 180* on both axis you need a sigma 4.5 or Sumex.

In which case I think 4k should provide full coverage too. But you'll only get less than 2k worth of usable detail.

has anyone used the sigma 4.5mm fisheye on epic in 2k to get a ultra wide fisheye look without the circular vignette you get on apsc chips? im looking for the widest possible fov without any vignette to shoot skateboarding.

The Canon 8-15 is awesome. I have it and you can have a very nice 180 degrees. Sharp image. 100% satisfied of this jewel.
