First video samples from the Nikon D90

It's definitely not HD worthy. 480 at best.

I agree with Sanjin. Best director's finder. I'll be getting one for that reason alone.

And Kholi is right. Semi-acceptable 480P.

I'm not shootin' anything serious until later today. Right now just trying to figure out the inner-workings of the "Movie" mode, which isn't even a movie mode to begin with. Again, an afterthought but a good start toward the future.

Some footages being collected there.

Holy crap, that rolling shutter makes the world look like jello!

With locked exposure the images look pretty ok, but the wobbling totally kills it. Stop the hype, wait another year.

4K 35mm sensor 60P at $$$ will be pretty normal in a decade.

But by then we'll be all about 8K and beyond. And people might be complaining about how low resolution 4k is for printing their photos.

Remember about 13 years ago, DV was launched. If you told somebody then that there will be a 4k camera for $17,500, it would have been hard to believe. I think NHK's ultra HDTV is silly now, but 10 years from now... red's consumer camera might be shooting that.
