  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I filmed a band rehearsal the other day, I connected into their sound board with a single 3 pin xlr into one side port on my Scarlet. They said it was a stereo connection and that I had a stereo 1/8 to xlr adapter. It worked great, I got just one channel of audio on the camera, which I actually expected. I transcoded the footage in Cine-x to QT and in FCP7 I had audio in both channels, tho just one way form in the channel I recorded.

So what exactly is going on... in Cine-x, in the audio area for the settings for the output it just has each channel to include or not and no other options. Is final cut doing it... i checked sequence settings and there wasnt any audio settings that changed anything (stereo downmix/separate channels). I realize xlr is mono and each 1/8in port on the front of the camera is just one channel.

Thanks
