After a long wait, I finally got a free night and my first time to test the Scarlet! Certainly felt like a big step for me, proud that I've come a long way in two and a half years.

Fell in love with the camera straight away, blown away by the quality whilst finding it incredibly easy to use. Looking forward to REDucation UK and using this again in the next few weeks!

Lens: Zeiss 50mm f/2 Macro-Planar / Canon EF 24-70ii F2.8L
Format: 4k full / 6:1 / REDlog Film

All natural lighting. Graded in REDCINE-X.

Nothing special, just test shots. But it's nice to have something to finally share.

I don't see any grain. Did you run it through a denoise filter or is that the jpg compression hiding the grain. They are all beautiful by the way.

Thanks Samir.

I didn't run it through a denoise filter, so perhaps the jpg compression.

I'll upload .R3D grabs tonight.

Edit: Run not ruin.

Very nice, I love the first one Kalulu. Thanks for sharing!

The difference compared to the dark versions I did, is pretty dramatic. There's a lot of flexibility, even with footage that I shot in a dark room with no lights.

Thanks for the R3D's .. loved the mood .. here is my grade :)

Its nice to see others take on your beautiful frames :)

Was the noise/grain thing figured out?

Samir had that question earlier.

Well I'm clueless! I didn't realise I had done anything different. Just picked up the camera and filmed.

So it's the lack of noise/grain that I'm missing?

Nope I was just referring to Simars question.

Your frames are awesome, no problems there :)

I am starting to dig the glass your using.

I only have Rokinon Cine and Tokina :(
