Hi All
So this arrived before I was back from Kabul just before Christmas, minus a few critical parts like Red Drive, EVF, etc. The guys on the Bomb Squad did their best and I am operational. 4 drives, my 18-50 and 300mm lenses, the bug Tele is way down the list. My Ultra Primes are coming from Abel Cine next week, but I am operational at last.

Have done some test shots but not ready to post anything as of yet. Love the camera, the images are stunning. Working up a small sequence with lighting and some simple scripting to check out what some real world work may look like. Will post that next week. But in the mean time meet Red Sonia

Very nice. Should be fun next week. Let's hope the temperature climbs up a few degrees.

well seeing as New Years day was around 18 degree's at noon on the Cape, 37 is summer weather...

Oh, and:
Nice looking Red!

Hey Zac
yeah, should be like bloody summer. Steve, we can shoot the girls on the beach in there bikinis, much better then fishing boats....

Nice...just don't leave it close to the windows-someone might get ideas...I've always been good with ideas...I just had one but don't think you're gonna like it!

Second thoughts you're too far away.

Is that a Libec set of sticks? If so, how is it holding up to the payload of your Red?

Dude what is that badass book in the background? Did it come with a stand?? Thats an awesome idea if it did.

Guys
The sticks are Libec sitting on Monfroto base. So far holding up well to the load. The head does very well but my main sticks are O'Conner's. But the Libec sticks are much lighter to haul around when doing quick stuff and I like them alot.

The book behind the camera is Helmut Newtons SUMO, I purchased it a number of years ago when it first came out, signed and number book. And it did come with the stand. My wife but the bow on it so people would not open it during a Christmas party we had, it is worth more the the Red Body at this point, should offer it as a trade in on an Epic

Ron

I bought it when it first came out at retail via Amazon. Who new it would be worth what it is now. The ribbon is only only it to keep people from thumbing through it during a party we had over Christmas.

Thats a good plan, cause you'd know exactly who'd looked through it, those redfaced ones shuffling to towards the door :clown2: :D
