First german feature film shot on EPIC

[Oliver Koeppel]

We just started to shoot a feature film on EPIC.
After the first two days, I really fell in love with this wonderful camera.

Thanks to RED for engineering this awesome piece of technology.

Thanks to Christian Pfeil for his EPIC!

And of course many thanks to our wonderful actors Jytte-Merle Boehrnsen and Holger Handke.

Here is a still from our second day.
Film is called "Bild von Ihr" (means picture from her).

Will post some more pics next days...

[James Drake]

Curious... how much data did you end up with?

[Daniel Soderberg]

The still looks very nice! What lens?

0.75 TB a day. Pretty much data, anyhow shot a lot of HDRstuff.
RED Pro Prime 85mm

[Cüneyt Kaya]

cool oliver. looks nice.
why dont you shoot 4kHD ?

[sidbarnhoorn]

Looks good. Good luck with the shoot. Let me know if it needs any music scoring. ;-)

[Christian Pfeil]

cool oliver. looks nice.
why dont you shoot 4kHD ?

no, cüneyt, we shoot in 24 fps, 5k 2,40:1 with RC 6:1.
that makes about 45 min. a card (128 GB) or about 17
min. with HDR, you know that anyway...
we have to buy a lot of harddiscs, that's for sure!

I post some shots of the epic in action tomorrow, but
after 18 hours shooting I'll hit the sack first...

[Christian Pfeil]

here are some impressions from the set (mainly showing
the epic been epic

[Jesper Sichlau]

That c-stand in the first picture is really working overtime

[Daniel Soderberg]

Thanks for sharing the production pics!
BTW, was there any CC done to the image you posted up top?

[Stephen Aldridge]

Love the reduser.net on the phone. Good Luck!

[marco braun]

what happend to the iphone ?

[Kristin Stewart]

The problem with this "bubble cover" is the sound... How can you be under it without cracking a few bubbles ? And what does the sound guy think about this ?

[Christian Pfeil]

It was ok, we had a long lens on anyway
and also just atmo sound.
I just wanted the best for my Epic!

[Kristin Stewart]

Mmmm cracking bubbles.. My favorite hobby ;-) Fingers crossed for your project, guys !

[Christian Pfeil]

[Oliver Koeppel]

what happend to the iphone ?

after three glasses of red wine (btw - forgot the schedule, when will Jim release RED WINE?) while biking and calling my girlfriend, I was stopped by a pothole, fell over the handlebar and threw my iphone onto the street...

[Christian Pfeil]
