I had the pleasure of shooting the delivery, prep, and presentation of the Ducati's new $80,000 limited edition superbike in Dallas last night.

From getting the phone call to arriving at the dealership for the delivery was about 6 hours. Shot for about 8 hours, and had to deliver the edit 6 hours after the event ended last night. Was a quick whirlwind shoot and edit. Let me know what you guys think!

"The first Ducati 1299 Superleggera just touched down in the United States, at AMS Ducati Dallas, with more to follow soon at dealers around the United States. Only 500 units of this carbon-fiber-everything superbike were made available by the folks at Bologna, making the Ducati 1299 Superleggera a very exclusive affair. This is because the 1299 Superleggera is the first production motorcycle with an all carbon fiber chassis, and it also happens to boasts 215hp (220hp when you put on the Akrapovic exhaust), while tipping the scales at 344 lbs when it’s bone dry. The machine also has Ducati’s most advanced electronics package, which features an inertial measurement unit, and thus allows for the traction control system to adjust both the slide rate and spin rate of the rear tire."

Yeah baby. You know I am down even before I watched the video...

I have to think there some other riders on this board....

I'm not, but I would like to get a motorbike license. I think that for some kinds of trips, a motorbike would be a better form of transport. Bikes are really cheap to run and good ones don't have to cost a lot. Regrettably I have little interest in bikes beyond their sensibility. I do like classic Yamahas and I can name four Italian manufacturers without looking them up: Aprilia, Augusta, Cagiva, Ducati.

Bikes with too much power are insane in every way and I have no desire to ride one. :-)
