I have a problem. I have Rokinon cine canon mount lenses. Without any canon focus chip, I was able to focus confirm with no problem. After the upgrade, to v5's it no longer works. I have a ticket in. So far, they said that now after the firmware, the camera checks the supported lens list, and if the lens is not on the list, we get the message "unsupported lens." they said I should get a prompt asking if I want to add my lens to the list, at which time say yes. But I do not get a prompt after the message. He said if that does not work, that he would work on adding my lenses to the supported list. I do not understand how that is going to work. I am still waiting for further instructions.

I found the focus confirm to be very helpful. I do not want to roll back to v4's. Is there another solution.

If the lens does not have internal focus motors, you should answer no to the unsupported lens dialog. It's not going to do anything useful for your lens.

Not sure why you cannot use focus confirm with your chipped lens. Make sure to send in a log.

Hi. I do not have the Canon focus chip. I get the "lens not supported" message, but no prompt giving me any options. Red support said that that was due to no communication from camera to lens. Nevertheless, Red's Confirm Focus (not Canon's green dot confirmation) use to work with firware v4's but does not work with v5's-- due to supported lens list--of which my Rokinon lenses are not supported, not on the list. That is why I get the "lens not supported" message.

Can I reach the lens unsupported dialog? If so, how? I do not get a prompt after the message "lens not supported, it appears only for a brief second.

I was hoping that there was a fix.

After rebooting several times it came back.
