After upgrading to the new firmware all my lenses come up unsupported and the numbers are slightly off, whats the best what to fix this? Is it something that can only be done manually?
It seems to be showing F-stops instead of T-stops now as well if that helps

I have a similar problem. I have Rokinon canon mount lenses. Without any canon focus chip, I was able to focus confirm with no problem. After the upgrade, it no longer works. I get the same message you do. I have a ticket in. So far, they said that now after the firmware, the camera checks the supported lens list, and if the lense is not on the list, we get the message "unsupported lens." they said I should get a prompt asking if I want to add my lens to the list, at which time say yes. But I do not get a prompt after the message. He said if that does not work, that he would work on adding my lenses to the supported list. I do not understand how that is going to work. I am still waiting for further instructions.

Did you solve your problem, and if so could you please let me in on the seceret.(:

they just added the canon zoom lenses i saw but not the cine primes- makes no sense to me

I'm going to install the new firmware today to see if that does anything even though it doesn't say it will fix this issue. I'm new to the RED game so not sure if this has always been the case but i thought my first firmware (dec 2013- did recognize the canon cine lenses as i never got a "error" but i wasnt really looking as I'm still trying to navigate the basics on the menu when not shooting)

You would think that your canon lenses would work and be on the supported lens list. I tried the new firmware, and this did not fix it.

I am relatively new to Red and cinematography too. Did you submit a ticket with your specific issue? I will let you know Red's response to my ticket, it might help in your case. There should be away for us to add our lenses so that they work at least as good as they were working before the updates.

Also, you would think that at least one reduser would tell us something.

There response was:

In order for the camera to communicate with the lens, they must have electronics. If the lenses that you posted are 100% manual, the camera won't be able to talk to them. This might be the reason you are not getting the message prompting to add 'on camera' support. If you purchase and install the Focus Confirmation Chip for those lenses and they have the proper canon communication protocol (meaning that they will autofocus on a Canon DSLR for instance), there is a good chance that they will also work on your SCARLET.
We are constantly adding lenses to the supported list, is a lens is not on the list and a customer requests support, we will get our hands on the lens, characterize it on camera, add the characterization to firmware and then, the lens will be officially supported on the next camera firmware release.
Let me know if this makes sense or if you have any other questions about the lens compatibility program.

No fix for me. Oh well. You should get the prompt after the "lens not supported" message which would let you add your CN-E lenses.

For manual focus lenses, we report the values that the lens responds with, rounded to the nearest 10th.

We have a very long list of lenses that people have requested support for. We are working our way through it as fast as we can.

You should not get an error; if you do not want the pop-up for unsupported lenses, just check the box at the bottom to suppress the dialog in the future.

The CN-E lenses have never been on the supported list.

Does the Rokinon have internal focus motors? If not, then the calibration will not be able to do anything with it, you should just say no at the prompt and it should work as before.

I reinstalled the newest firmware and now it works.
