What exactly does the side note (requires Redcine-X Pro v52.3 or later) for the 6k Anamorphic update mean?

Is the only way to view this footage at the moment via Redcine? In other words, will it not work in FCPX or Davinci?

Or

Is it just meaning if we want to view in Redcine we need 52.3 or later?

My expectation is that REDCine-X was just updated with the ability to hit the desqueeze button on Komodo footage, and I'd assume that Komodo footage would play as normal elsewhere - considering desqueeze is done by the NLE's own desqueezer. Otherwise, RED probably would have put out a new SDK at the same time.
