Hello,

Is there any way to see what settings were used to shoot a slow motion clip. Is it recorded in the metadata? I can't find it in Redalert.

I have a bunch of clips that were shot in different frame rates, 100fps, 50fps and so on. now I can't remember which frame rate I set for each one, and if I needed to speed things up to normal, is there any way to retrieve that information?

thanks jason.

You can get a list of "all" the metadata of a clip using Redline in Terminal, for example:

"redline -i /Complete/Path/To/Clip/A014_C018_0310JG_001.R3D --printMeta 1"

BUT, the "FPS" info refers only to the Time Base of your project. I think there is no way to get the frame rate you shot the clip with. Even the shutter degree is wrong, as it is based on the Time Base and not the Frame Rate.

I suppose this is a bug which -hopefully- will be fixed in in Build 18 (?).

Petter.

One more thing: if you are normally using a 180 degrees shutter then you know that 1/200 sec. is 100FPS, 1/100 sec. 50FPS and so on...

I just ran that redline command and it DID show the correct shutter speed. For a clip I overcranked at 30fps (4K, 23.98 timebase):

FPS: 23.976
...
Shutter(ms): 16.6
Shutter(1/sec): 60
Shutter(deg): 144

So the degrees are wrong, but the Shutter (1/sec) is correct. Assuming you set it at 180 degrees you should be able to back into the varispeed rate.
