Do you guys remember the great Nike commercial "Fate" shot by Fincher and Lubesky with dino's #0031?

If not, here's a reminder - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlXRengzZoc

That was awesome!

They shot another great one!

Coincidentally (or not), the new nike commercial shot by Fincher and Lubesky is about football as well!

Beautiful cinematography!

I loved it!

Was it shot on film, red, viper?? Anyone? I'd love to know.

Cheers

The commercial was shot on RED.

Specifically, Mr Soderberg's Reds. Basically, they were going to use my camera, but soderberg offered his up, (as money ball went away), most likely for free including his AC's and thus I was not involved, although i was very involved on the run up to the spot as a consultant as they were debating between the various digital formats.

he likes the camera a lot and i just wrote him yesterday and included a small video from the shoot i did a few days ago on build 21 with the 4.5k and he liked that new format...i am hopeful that epic comes out in time for his next feature and that we will shoot it with red. he is a tremendously smart guy that although very demanding, knows probably more about every aspect of the film making process and what everyone's job is and what each piece of their equipment is than 99.99% of anyone that every made content. i loved working with him and would do it again in a ny second.

I guess anyone would love to work with them! At least I would!

You are a very Lucky man Dino!!

Congratulations!

yeah, the harder i work the luckier i get.

They were both shot very very well. The second, most recent of the two was just amazing.

Was that in a real stadium in snow or on a green screen stage with CG snow and CG breath? Hard to tell but could be either! :)

I don't really know but...

if I were to guess, I'd say it was shot in a real stadium with cg snow/breath and cg crowd.

Dino says it was shot indoors on a stage. :)

Really? That's interesting.

ahhha Just googled "spruce goose hanger" had no idea what it was!

Now I do! A HUGE soundstage.

Here is the nikefootball.com stuff I shot of AP the same day as the commercial.
We got him just after Fincher and Lubeski were done with him.
Be sure to click through all the videos that appear on APs body (you don't have to watch them all the way through) in order to see the payoff at the end.
