  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Finally switched from Mac to PC: And this is what it looks like!!

Great news, got the Cooler Master Cosmos 2.

Its just awesome to look at, now once I am free start shifting stuff into the bigger case.

I am looking at x16 riser cable, I have a question, do you know a company or brand that makes the best?

Here is some shots of the Cooler Master Cosmos 2, looks awesome, waiting on my riser card for fitting extra GTX690.

Waiting to get my replacement Supermicro X9DAi :badputer:

haha I'll admit that one of the reasons I don't want to switch to PC is that I could never find a good looking tower, or one that was as smartly built as the mac pro towers. They've definitely come a long way. Asif that tower looks awesome! I'm lazy though, still wish it was more modular. haha like others have said I think I'm still on the fence.

@ Asif: Seriously? The case looks like you wanna go to a LAN party and impress the nerds... ;) I am not a Mac fan, but the design has never been topped.

@ Justen... take a look at the Lian-li towers. Some are "similar" to the Mac Pro towers. And my PC is built in a Mac G5 case. I modded 3 weeks, but mow i have a Windows 7 PC in a nice Mac case.

I know, is still the best one I could find, that allows XL-ATX. The reason I went PC route was simple, cheaper and wider hardware options and will be 6K ready. Especially considering that I cater to my clients on tight schedules who need realtime playback etc. I do not want to have to wait for "mighty" Apple to tell me this is the most you really want in terms of hardware power, and guess what we are going to charge you a bomb.

I still use macbook pro that has AVID Symphony, Adobe CS6 PP and if power is need we can take it to the main system.

I will still buy the upcoming Mac Pro, if they are serious to give attention on it regularly. If not I will only use their portable systems for email, surfing and offline edit etc.

Gamer in me like it that way. not to worry I have a Mac Pro lying around as well. All I want to do is make windows as attractive as mac.

Alas, I will not deny the OS is not as good as Mac OS X.
